Virgin Red Palm Oil
Virgin Palm Oil for Hair & Skin
I'm really loving the Virgin Red Palm Oil I purchased. It's a rich orange colored oil which smells faintly like carrots.
When applied to skin, it makes your body feel like velvet. A little goes a long way with this oil & it can stain, so you may want to blend with other oils/butters etc. or wear clothes that you don't mind messing up. The oil can be used directly on skin and hair. I will post more results after I try it in my hair.

The consistency is semi-solid, like virgin coconut oil. It will stay liquid in warmer temperatures.
"If you suffer from chronic dry skin or have scars, stretch marks or even just dull looking skin try using Virgin Palm Oil. Lotions evaporate on the skin, leaving your skin just as dry as when you started, palm oil creates soft, healthy skin that lasts. Virgin Red Palm Oil is high in natural, healthy plant based saturated fats and makes a wonderful moisturizer as well as treatment for other minor skin ailments."
Red Palm Oil Benefits:
"This oil is lower in saturated fat than coconut oil (although it is still a good source) and is rich in monounsaturated fats as well (like those found in olive oil and peanut butter). Red palm oil is different than regular refined palm oil because it is extra virgin and retains its natural vibrant red color. The rich color indicates that the oil is loaded with vitamin A as well as vitamin E, both which are crucial vitamins for healthy skin. In fact one tablespoon of the oil contains on average 166% of the RDA for vitamin A and 55% of the RDA for vitamin E."
Skin Healer
"Because of its high vitamin A and E levels, red palm oil makes a good choice if you want to heal stubborn scars or even stretch marks on your skin. Try it on your face if you have old acne scars or anywhere you might have stretch marks. Because it is raw and unrefined, it makes a superior treatment to other processed oils with vitamins merely added back into them. You can also take a tablespoon or two of the oil a day for additonal help with healing. Because the oil is a rich color, it will leave an orange color on your skin until you completely rub it in."
Anti Aging
"Like coconut oil, red palm oil is a great way to keep your skin young. Apply to the face before bed to help heal damage and protect the skin from new damage. Taking it internally will also protect your heart and general health as well."
"Both of these oils can be found at some grocery stores, natural food stores and online. Prices vary but should be considered inexpensive compared to the many expensive lotions on the market today. The amount generally contained in a jar also lasts for a quite a long time. If you're tired of lotions and creams and want a natural alternative you can feel great about, consider giving coconut and/or red palm oil a try!"
